After the Beginner Immersion, you will have enough movement options to make your Hoop Dancing fun & interesting! You’ll learn 14 Hoop Moves and several variations. Emphasis will be placed on freeing up the arms & legs during Hoop dance while keeping the hoop 1) rotating around the waist, 2) holding the hoop in a stall & 3) hand hooping.

AFTERNOON SESSION: 1PM TO 5PM . $40

INTERMEDIATE IMMERSION: 1pm to 3pm
With the basics covered, you can now move on to more complicated tricks including shoulder hooping, leg/knee hooping, lifts & lowers. This is a fast paced class for the motivated student. The only requirement is the ability to waist hoop. Don’t expect to master all of the moves taught in this class in one day. The mechanics of each move will be explained so you will have all the information you need to progress further outside of class. You’ll learn 14 more moves & a several variations.

LIBERATION THROUGH LIMITATON: 3pm to 4pm
In our quest for enlightenment & transcendence, we often overlook the vital roll of limitation in creative development. Liberation is actually anchored in limitation. In the chakra System, this concept is illustrated by Chakra 1—The Root Chakra, located at the base of the spine—being the first step in the Path of Liberation that moves us from our physical experiences in the lower Chakras to the transcendent spiritual planes of the upper Chakras. In Hoop Dance, expanded creativity flows out of the limitations of basic skill sets. In this practical how-to class, individual skill sets will be explored starting from the most basic motion & gradually adding variation. The limitation of one skill set allows the Hoop Dancer to fully explore movement within that skill set which can lead to creative breakthrough.

MOVEMENT EXPLORATION: 4pm to 5pm
Hoop dance provides the unique opportunity to let go into the energetic FLOW of physical movement facilitated by the spin of the Hoop dance Hoop. The hoop provides a container through which creative expression can be realized in a way that feels expansive & limitless. This Movement Exploration is inspired by the varied energies of the Chakra System. This includes solidity, passion, energy, community, creativity, imagination & ultimately, letting go into FLOW. Exploring movement in this way exponentially amplifies movement options during Hoop Dance.
